Job Overview
Abacus Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Logistics Supervisor to oversee our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the supply chain processes, ensuring efficient transportation management, and leading a team to meet operational goals. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily logistics operations, including dispatching and transportation management.
Coordinate demand planning activities to ensure timely delivery of products.
Manage inventory levels through effective picking and packing processes.
Utilize AS400 and other transportation management systems to track shipments and optimize logistics performance.
Lead and train a team of logistics staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all logistics activities.
Collaborate with e-commerce teams to streamline order fulfillment processes.
Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management.
Familiarity with transportation management systems and AS400 software.
Strong understanding of demand planning and dispatching processes.
Experience with forklift operation is preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Bi-Lingual is a plus
Payrate- $28.50/HR
Shift- Monday to Friday 6PM-6AM, subject to change
