Senior Data Solution Architect
in
Bethesda, MD
to support NSWC Carderock's requirements for engineering, IT, and technical support for data analysis, software development and modifications, control system development, IT and information assurance (IA). The work will support projects related to surface ships, submarines, boats and combatant craft, air vehicles, other vehicles that operate in air and/or water, associated trainers and simulators, and IT infrastructure.
Senior Data Solution Architect
responsibilities include researching, designing, developing, and testing computer hardware and software programs; supervising the manufacturing and installation of computer equipment; and integrating new technologies into a variety of applications. The role requires strong programming skills, algorithm development, and problem‑solving abilities across operating systems, network distribution, and compiler design.
Position Type & Compensation Position Type : Full‑Time
Salary : $140k – $198k annually (based on experience)
Work Location Onsite full‑time in Bethesda, MD.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Software or IT discipline, Engineering, or Mathematics.
Desired
Possess and maintain all qualifications for certification in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Twenty (20) years of experience in Cyber and IT strategy and planning, including:
Architecting, developing, deploying and leading large‑scale data migrations involving time‑series data streams with multiple data channels.
Developing data storage solutions for large repositories that ensure integrity, redundancy, and availability while preserving raw data.
Deploying reporting engines on top of databases such as Oracle, TimeScaleDB, and PostgreSQL.
Using AI/ML tools to analyze platform time‑series data in maritime applications.
Building and supporting cloud‑based solutions in Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud and VMWare.
Security Clearance
Active Secret clearance required. Requirements include U.S. citizenship, security investigation, etc.
Education / Experience
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Software or IT discipline, Engineering, or Mathematics.
