Supporting Enterprise Visual Communications Graphics and Hardware Category Management

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain purchasing strategies for enterprise-level product categories, focusing on graphics (fabrics, paper, media, printing, inks, finishing) and hardware (metals, wood, lighting, assembly). Skills/Qualifications:

Manage category strategies for multiple product lines, aligning with industry and market trends across all Orbus facilities. Develop and control purchasing strategies; support inventory and production efficiency. Negotiate supply contracts and payment terms; build strong supplier partnerships. Rationalize domestic versus international sourcing; manage logistics models for materials. Maintain records and report on service level improvements. Improve forecasting methods; collaborate with the forecast manager to enhance inventory planning and turnover. Knowledge of visual communication, graphics, or display categories is a plus. Strategic Planning/Development:

Support product development; research and onboard new suppliers. Plan quarterly S&OP meetings with leadership to coordinate supply and R&D plans. Enhance ERP system for better visibility, forecasting, and spend management. Analyze data; hold regular meetings with operations to review COGS, usage, waste, supply issues, and QA/QC to improve profitability. Maintain KPIs regularly. Implement Lean methodologies, ISO standards, and social compliance initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Development:

Continuously seek personal and departmental improvement opportunities. Collaborate with the Director of Procurement and Production to meet departmental needs. Identify training needs for team members and develop action plans. Cross-train and support multiple enterprise locations and departments. Qualifications/Requirements:

7-10 years of experience in procurement/purchasing within a manufacturing environment. Experience managing business with ERP systems. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or relevant experience. Effective multi-tasking and communication skills. Self-motivated with strong teamwork skills. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Strong negotiation, contract management, and partnership-building skills. Knowledge of Lean, ISO, and social compliance standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Attention to detail and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. Company Description
