ECU Health Physicians and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine seek a fellowship-trained BC Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to serve as Division Head of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The role involves providing executive and strategic leadership for the division. The institution is constructing a state-of-the-art, 144-bed behavioral health facility opening in fall 2025, including 24 inpatient beds dedicated to children and adolescents. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division, demonstrating administrative and leadership experience. Collaborate on strategic initiatives to support the Brody School of Medicine’s mission, including fellowship programs, hospital services, and inpatient units. Optimize clinical services, patient access, and quality of care. Foster professional development, recruitment, and retention of staff. Support education and research activities, including training residents and engaging in scholarly research. Build external relationships, advocate for the division, and seek external support and philanthropy. Manage fiscal and operational aspects of the division. Ensure a family-centric environment that maximizes patient satisfaction and outcomes. Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of experience in psychiatry. Appropriate for appointment as Associate Professor of Psychiatry or higher. Experience in an academic healthcare setting. Clinical research background preferred. Benefits and Compensation
