People First in Red Bluff Join our close-knit team of six physicians and three APPs, with the support of a clinical performance nurse at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. Our dedicated team includes two hospitalists during the day and one at night (one APP during the day). We are a diverse team from different ethnic backgrounds and training programs, including internal medicine, internal medicine/pediatrics, and family medicine. At St. Elizabeth, we’re more than just a healthcare team; we’re a community. We actively participate in various hospital committees. Qualifications A Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Board certified/eligible in internal medicine, family medicine, or med/peds. Med/peds or family medicine physicians will also have the opportunity to provide coverage for pediatric patients. Practice in the Heart of the Community Flexible Scheduling We offer flexible scheduling options, including a balanced 7-on/7-off block schedule, allowing for quality time at work and home. Key Responsibilities Experience an average census of 10-12 patients per physician, with 1-3 admissions per day and 2-6 admissions per night. Provide pediatric coverage for 1-2 patients per day, primarily newborns, and assist in critical newborn resuscitation and transfers until stabilization. Handle complex cases in an open ICU with telemedicine critical care support 24/7. Perform most procedures and run codes. Utilize Cerner EMR and access Sound Physicians' internal informatics platform. Engage in phone consultations with specialists at a larger regional hospital, supporting independent practice. Participate in regular team meetings held monthly or bi-monthly to maintain strong team connections. Living and Working in Red Bluff Located in Tehama County, midway between Sacramento and the Oregon border, Red Bluff has a population of around 14,000 on the scenic Sacramento River. It serves as a gateway to Lassen Volcanic National Park, featuring a Mediterranean climate, a vibrant downtown, affordability, and proximity to larger cities, fostering a strong community feel. St. Elizabeth Community Hospital covers over 3,000 square miles, serving approximately 65,000 residents.
