Registered Nurse
to join our
Specialty Department
at Urban Health Plan, stationed at our El Nuevo San Juan Health Center in the Bronx, NY. As an RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing support and patient care in an outpatient primary care setting. You will have a wonderful opportunity to learn and support a variety of medical specialties that includes but is not limited to: Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Nephrology, Podiatry, Allergy, and Pulmonary. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Nursing is required. NYS Registered Professional Nurse, required. All experience levels are welcome to apply, whether this is your first role as a nurse or you are coming in as a seasoned nurse. Bilingual English/Spanish is required. Excellent communication skills, compassion, empathy, and team-driven attributes are essential. Knowledge/training in electronic health records and Microsoft Office. Key Duties: Triage patients and assist patients with their needs based on acuity. Provide quality nursing care and medication administration. Administer immunizations/vaccines to specified patients. Monitor patient reactions and side effects. Assist care team with pre-visit planning for high-risk patients. Ensure implementation of plans of care. Behave as a role model and source of nursing guidance to medical assistants that are part of the team. Assist with prepping patients as needed and providing patient education. Assist providers during examinations and treatments. Ensure proper sterilization procedures using germicides, sterilizers, or autoclave and assist with in-service training of Medical Assistants in this area. Ensure departmental adherence to clinical policies and procedures. Maintain health records by documenting patient contact and updating patient profile. Implement standing orders. Check equipment, logs, and medical kits. Assist with ordering medical supplies, medications, and vaccines. Starting Compensation:
Minimum $81,000 Maximum $97,000/annum contingent on degree and experience level. Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule: Onsite, Bronx, NY, Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm/9:00am-6:00pm; Rotating Saturday shifts with a day off M-F.
