St. Josephs Health has excellent full-time employment opportunities for Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterology physicians to join a comprehensive practice located in Syracuse, New York. St. Josephs Physicians (SJP) is a well-established multi-specialty group with over 160 physicians and a strong primary care referral base. SJP aims to expand its GI specialty practice and coverage model, actively seeking to add two to three physicians to the new group. The selected providers will cover as GI Hospitalists for hospital consults, perform procedures, and potentially see patients in outpatient clinics. Highlights:
7 on-7 off work model, promoting excellent work-life balance Focus on providing high-quality patient care and service while maintaining productivity Strong administrative support for GI department growth and vision Large network of primary care and specialty physicians Current call schedule is one weekend per month; additional coverage provided by affiliated groups Hospital inpatient volume averages 15-20 patients daily, with 3-7 new consults Opportunities for resident teaching and clinical research Specialized Areas of Interest:
Advanced Endoscopy, including EUS with therapeutics, advanced ERCP, EMR/ESD, and enteroscopy Inflammatory Bowel Disease Hepatology (non-transplant) Esophageal and Rectal Manometry This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated Gastroenterologist to develop a rewarding career within a robust health network.
