West Virginia University School of Medicine, the Department of Pediatrics, and the West Virginia University Cancer Institute (WVUCI) are seeking an Executive Director for the Children’s Pediatric Blood Disorder and Cancer Center (PBCC). The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV. Responsibilities:

Serve as the physician executive for the Children’s Blood Disorder and Cancer Center, leading programs at the state’s premier academic children’s hospital. Collaborate with WVU Health System (WVUHS) leadership and affiliates to develop and support initiatives. Work with the Director of WVUCI on program development and grant applications for NCI Designation. Align with the WVU School of Medicine and Health Sciences Center, fostering a high-quality educational environment. Strategically develop partnerships to enhance pediatric and adolescent oncology care in clinical services. Practice pediatric hematology/oncology. Engage in teaching medical students, residents, and advanced practice providers. About the Pediatric Blood & Cancer Center (PBCC):

The division includes pediatric oncologists, neurosurgeons, surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurse coordinators, pharmacists, palliative physicians, PM&R physicians, psychologists, social workers, research staff, and a facility dog. Growth includes a dedicated inpatient unit and expanded infusion center in the new Children’s Hospital. Qualifications:

MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent. Eligible for state medical license. Completed pediatric residency and hematology/oncology fellowship. Board certified in pediatric hematology/oncology. Minimum of ten years’ clinical experience in a children’s health specialty. About WVU Medicine Children’s:

The new 150-bed Children’s Hospital features pediatric operating rooms, cardiac and GI labs, and dedicated staff. It includes pediatric beds, NICU, PICU, Heart Institute, and a Cancer Institute. It is a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center with plans for Level 1. About WVU Cancer Institute:
