Company ITL USA Requisition ID 136553BR Infosys is seeking an Architect for Mainframe development and migrations responsible for diagnosing issues, designing solutions, facilitating deployment, and automating processes. Required Qualifications: Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Tampa, FL, or willing to relocate. Travel to project sites may be required. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; three years of progressive experience in the specialty may substitute for each year of education. 7+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe application development and support. Strong expertise in Mainframe technologies: PL1, Assembler, Cobol, CICS, JCL, IMS, DB2. Experience migrating Mainframe applications to open technologies like Java and Microservices. Strong knowledge of enterprise and system architecture and design methodologies. The individual will be responsible for: Architecting, managing, maintaining, and supporting Mainframe applications, including high availability, backups, performance tuning, and security. Understanding requirements, creating and reviewing designs, validating architecture, and ensuring high service levels. Participating in project estimation, solution delivery, risk planning, code reviews, and testing. Leading teams to develop high-quality code, sharing knowledge, and adhering to organizational guidelines. Building efficient systems and supporting clients in their digital transformation. Troubleshooting and resolving production issues. Maintaining Mainframe systems and migrating to open platforms. Supporting Mainframe tech refreshes and software upgrades. Developing and maintaining documentation and data flow diagrams. Collaborating with clients and teams on design, development, and release planning. Implementing disaster recovery and security remediation strategies. Preferred Skills: Exposure to AWS cloud technologies. Experience with Java and Microservices is a plus. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and good communication skills. Fluent in English and able to work in a team. This role involves extended computer work and communication via phone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required.
