Assist in the implementation of District educational programs under the direction of the Campus Administrator or teacher(s). Qualifications/Skills: Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree. Teacher Certification (pending). Educational Aide Certification. Special Knowledge/Skills:
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work and communicate with children and adults. Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior. Proficient in the effective use of technology. Fluent in English (speaking and writing). Attention to detail. Ability to work independently, as well as in a co-teaching model. Experience:
Full semester of student classroom teaching experience or enrolled in an Alternative Certification Program. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Instructional Support:
Adhere to Texas Education Agency and district policies and procedures. Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of district's curriculum program. Assist in lesson plan development with certified staff that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles. Work collaboratively with certified staff to assess student learning styles and plan instructional activities. Prepare and organize instructional materials and equipment as directed by certified staff. Assist in proper classroom management and implement daily schedule. Assist teachers with technology instruction and implementation. Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards under the direction of lead teachers. Student Management, Growth and Development:
Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce skills and concepts under the supervision of certified staff. Be a positive role model for students and support the mission of the school district. Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development. Classroom Management and Organization:
Work with certified staff to create a conducive classroom environment for learning. Manage student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct. Communication:
Assist in communicating with students and parents. Establish and maintain open communication with parents, students, and teachers. Professional Growth and Development:
Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills. Other:
Perform related duties as required. Supervisory Responsibilities:
