Our Wholesale Solutions team at AXA XL is poised for growth in the dynamic world of Excess and Surplus lines. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative team that has been unlocking the future since 1978, creating teams that excel at innovation, expanding geographically, building new products, and serving our wholesale partners with excellence.
What you’ll be doing
Pre‑underwrites, evaluates risk, and assesses the completeness of the underwriting package before the Underwriter is required to review. Communicate directly with Brokers on behalf of the Underwriters to collect account and insured information necessary for risk analysis.
Perform and apply knowledge of line‑of‑business specific product underwriting rules and/or guidelines for pre‑analysis support of submission in preparation for further analysis for the quoting stage.
Develop initial pricing, basic coverage structuring, quotation, and binder packages of the risk on behalf of the Underwriter.
Collaborate effectively with Underwriters, Brokers, Reinsurers, and internal units within AXA XL to manage the status and workflow of multiple tasks and accounts.
Communicate account status to ensure completion of outstanding subjectivities needed to execute policy issuance and premium collection as part of bound accounts.
Calculate base rating and apply experience modifications as part of the underwriting package completed by the Underwriting Support Unit for Underwriter review.
Manage the workflow of multiple tasks and maintain a detailed understanding of the status of various tasks owned by Underwriters, Brokers, Reinsurers, and AXA XL internal network.
Collaborate and correspond verbally and in written format with internal and external contacts across the country, keeping in mind differences in time zones, to achieve a high level of service and meet client expectations.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $66,600‑$105,100 USD. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location.
