We are one of the fastest-growing project and cost management consultancies. We are hiring a Director to oversee the bond-funded construction program for a public K-12 school district. This high-impact role is at the forefront of building educational facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Establish, monitor, and control projects with progressive reviews including scope, cost, schedule, and risk.

Identify and assess scope, schedule, and budget changes and make recommendations to bring them into compliance with program goals.

Provide overall coordination and implement controls to ensure projects are completed on-time and on-budget per the program contract.

Identify and advise owner of any potential obstacles that need special attention; assess options, recommend preferred approach, and implement as required.

Regularly assess project status, establish, and administer quality assurance and control programs.

Plan, manage, and coordinate all aspects of the project schedule, scope, and cost.

Value Engineer the project by identifying savings opportunities and ensuring material substitutions are equal.

Communicate with and manage project stakeholders.

Prepare Project Management plan and fee budget/proposal at the project outset.

Evaluate documents and communicate the client’s specific goals and expectations to all project team members.

Develop and communicate action plans to guide the project team.

Re-evaluate contract scope of work as the project progresses and recommend adjustments as necessary.

Coordinate with cost management group for cost estimates, cost studies, actual job cost reviews, and budget reconciliation.

Organize and maintain framework for project team processes and record keeping.

Drive the permitting process by designing team documents for submission to local, state, and federal agencies and ensuring efficient movement.

Ensure design management follows client documents such as budget, scope, schedule, and design standards.

Prepare cost and revenue projections.

Knowledge & Skills Required

Experience coordinating and implementing controls to ensure on-time and on-budget metrics.

Ability to identify potential obstacles and provide options and plans to mitigate.

Experience reviewing scope, cost, schedule, and risk.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Understanding of how the role contributes to organizational goals.

Experience with LEED certified projects and/or CHPS.

Experience with DSA construction/design processes or similar.

Required Education and Experience

BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field.

Minimum 15 years of project management experience focused on education projects as an Owners Representative or in consultancy capacity.

Prior experience with educational facility construction projects/programs.

Preferred certifications: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED.

Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $152,800.00 – $213,933.36 per year (base salary only).
