Summary of Position:
The Human Resources Director provides strategic leadership and oversight for human resources operations at US Conec – Texas. This role partners closely with site and corporate leadership to support HR strategies that enhance employee engagement, ensure compliance, and align with business objectives. The HR Director will lead local HR operations—including employee relations, performance management, HR compliance, and organizational culture—while assisting corporate HR teams with initiatives in talent acquisition, learning and development, and compensation and benefits. The ideal candidate combines strategic insight with hands-on leadership to create a positive, high‑performance work environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Other duties as assigned) Strategic HR Leadership
Develop and execute local HR strategies that support overall business goals and corporate HR direction. Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational effectiveness. Partner with corporate HR to implement consistent HR policies, programs, and best practices. Lead initiatives that strengthen company culture, employee engagement, and operational excellence. Employee Relations & Compliance
Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant HR practices. Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports collaboration and accountability. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws (EEO, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, wage and hour, etc.). Lead or assist with investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. Partner with leadership to manage performance evaluations and employee development plans. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Assist corporate HR with recruiting and staffing initiatives, ensuring alignment with local workforce needs. Support site leadership in identifying workforce gaps and providing input on hiring priorities. Coordinate with corporate HR on employer branding, recruitment campaigns, and onboarding processes. Ensure a positive candidate and new hire experience at the site level. Learning & Development
Support corporate learning and development programs by identifying local training needs and coordinating participation. Provide input on employee development plans and skill‑building opportunities. Assist with the rollout of leadership development and training initiatives to enhance workforce capabilities. Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations
Assist corporate HR with compensation and benefits programs by providing local data, feedback, and implementation support. Oversee HR operations at the site level, including HRIS, payroll coordination, and employee record management. Use HR metrics and reports to monitor trends and support data‑driven decision‑making. Continuously improve local HR processes and ensure alignment with company standards. Organizational Culture & Communication
Promote an inclusive, transparent, and performance‑oriented culture aligned with company values. Lead HR communications to ensure employees remain informed, engaged, and connected to company goals. Support change management and organizational development efforts. Special Projects
Partner with corporate HR on HR technology enhancements and process improvement initiatives. Support strategic site or corporate projects involving culture, engagement, or organizational change. Education and Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; master’s degree preferred. 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices in HR management. Experience supporting HR initiatives in a manufacturing or technical environment preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proven ability to build relationships, influence leadership, and support corporate HR initiatives. HR certification (e.g., SHRM‑SCP, SPHR) preferred. Seniority level
