Platform Solution Architect (ESM) – Solution Architect
Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Description An experienced Service Integration SME/Architect/Solutions architect/Consultant with proven thought leadership in technical and process implementations.
The role offers a career path leading to positions such as Platform Solution Architect, Solution Director, Platform Solution Architect Architect, and Solution Lead.
As a Platform Solution Architect you will participate and actively support business development initiatives by building the most robust, optimized, cost‑effective, and victory‑oriented solutions for Enterprise Services Management, ServiceNow solutions, and IT Operations Platform. You will work closely with Regional and GDC Pre‑sales and solutioning management, as well as senior stakeholders from Onshore regions and directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities
End‑to‑end responsibility for the solution across transition, run, and transformation in ESM portfolio
Develop tower‑solution related elements with support of Solution specialists and SMEs
Ensure all client requirements within scope are analyzed and solutioned
Work with other tower owners to align solutions
Provide detailed cost input, including inputs from SMEs, and ensure tagging aligns with strategy set by Solution Manager & DA
Identify cost behaviours of cost lines and relationships to client unit pricing
Align with the team on common assumptions to avoid gaps and overlaps
Articulate the basis of any subcontractor/supplier quotes, including assumptions, exclusions, and validity period, and work directly with subcontractors
Address client SLA requirements, document or agree any exceptions from the standards
Contribute to solution artefacts (Cost systems, RAIDE, Solution Approval pack, etc.)
Review and input to contract schedules, SoW, SLA, etc.
Contribute to proposal writing, aligned to sales strategy, themes, and scoring mechanism
Support Commercial Lead with drafting/mark‑up of schedules related to SoW, SLA, etc.
Support Solution Manager and contribute to the Sales to Delivery Handover (StDH)
Provide market intelligence from a portfolio competitiveness standpoint, analyzing client buying patterns, price points, and third‑party analyst views
Analyze and customize core portfolio services and solutions to specific client needs (beyond standard offers)
Required Skills
Excellent communication of solutions to both technical and non‑technical audiences
Analytical mind with evaluative and problem‑solving abilities, capable of defining technical solutions at an architectural and design level of detail
3+ years of hands‑on experience in IT Service Integration design, transition, or operations processes
3+ years of hands‑on experience in business analysis and configuration or administration of ITSM modules of ServiceNow Platform
Familiarity with other Service Management Tools (e.g., BMC Remedy, Kinetic Data)
Experience in Service Request Management and Fulfillment, Service Catalogue is a plus
Experience in implementation of non‑core ServiceNow modules (Service Portfolio, Service Offerings, etc.)
Experience in implementation of non‑ITSM ServiceNow modules (HR, Shared Services, Security, etc.)
Experience in Service Asset Configuration Management
Experience in Organizational Change Management
General
Background from either run or transformation within the specific portfolio tower
Strong connection to portfolio team
Motivated to develop across breadth of the tower to expand technical skills
Client Engagement
Strong client‑facing skills, able to clearly articulate tower solution and roadmap to client face‑offs
Presentation and writing skills – to articulate tower solution
Management
Leadership of virtual team working within portfolio tower solution; coach, steer, challenge, guide, and support through tough deadlines
Stakeholder management, engagement and socialisation within the management of the portfolio area
Technical/Portfolio
Strong technical depth in portfolio tower
Good understanding of vendor and partner landscape for the tower, including Capgemini preferred partners and products
Ability to perform Enterprise Architect level consulting/advisory and due diligence type work for complex deals to ensure smooth transition to delivery teams
