The
Assistant Plant Controller
supports the Plant Controller and leadership team to drive financial accuracy, cost control, and business performance at a manufacturing facility generating ~$80M in annual revenue. The role focuses on
cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and compliance
with GAAP and internal policies. Key Responsibilities
Oversee month‑end closing, financial reporting, and variance analysis. Lead cost accounting activities—standard costing, inventory valuation, and job order review. Partner with operations to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost‑reduction initiatives. Ensure compliance with
GAAP, SOX , and internal control standards. Support annual budget and five‑year financial planning cycles. Prepare financial analyses for capital projects and management presentations. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s in
Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration . 5–10 years
of manufacturing finance or cost accounting experience. Proven experience as an
Assistant Plant Controller
or equivalent role. Strong ERP experience ( SAP, PeopleSoft, or Epicor ) and
advanced Excel
skills. Knowledge of
U.S. GAAP , cost analysis, and financial controls. Must be a
U.S. Citizen or National
(ITAR compliance required). Preferred
CPA or MBA Experience with
forecasting tools
(Khalix, Longview, etc.) Seniority level
