Location: Childersburg, AL | Employment type: Full-Time | Competitive Salary
Primary Purpose The Reliability Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of our manufacturing operation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the Maintenance Coordinators and Maintenance Planners as direct reports.
Eliminate production limiting failures from the manufacturing process.
Support plant health, safety, environmental and quality strategies that ensure protection of employee and company property, safety, health environmental compliance and product quality.
Lead the equipment/process troubleshooting effort.
Work with operations and maintenance leaders to support/troubleshoot the maintenance systems in their area.
Improve maintenance techniques, activities, and practices through use of reliability tools (i.e. RCM, FMEA, RCFA, etc.).
Assist with implementation of both capital and maintenance improvement projects.
Provide information and training to help build technical skills in the workforce.
Monitor and analyze all emergency work orders in the area.
Example of daily responsibilities (depending on electrical or mechanical) discipline include, but are not limited to:
Lead the RCFA process.
Manage pressure vessel integrity and tank inspection programs.
Manage process safety valve program.
Champion mill lubrication and/or PM/PdM activities.
Assist with MCC or power distribution integrity activities.
Assist coordinating outside contractor services.
Knowledge and Experience
B.S. in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Three (3) or more years' experience in a related field.
Excellent skills in written and oral communication.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think "outside the box".
Functional use of Microsoft Office and maintenance systems.
Highly organized and uses efficient work methods.
Demonstrated ability to learn and continue to develop knowledge and skills.
