Healthcare Market Leader, NBBJ Design Base pay range: $145,000 - $175,000 per year. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.

The role at a glance:

NBBJ Seattle is seeking a Healthcare Market Leader to drive growth in our domestic commissions throughout the Pacific Northwest and the broader West Coast region. The ideal candidate is a passionate leader who partners with healthcare clients to improve performance, builds long‑term strategic relationships, and excels in marketing complex projects.

In your new role, you will:

Expand NBBJ’s presence in the Pacific Northwest through increased client engagement and activity, focusing on the healthcare sector.

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, a senior leader on select projects, and a role model/mentor for all staff.

Develop new and existing client relationships through a deep understanding of client enterprise needs, regionally and nationally.

Generate a strong pipeline of leads and prospects to increase the Practice’s reach and influence.

Network with industry leaders, owner‑rep PMs, GCs, and consultants to uncover client opportunities.

Collaborate with the Healthcare Practice Leadership Team and West Coast marketing leadership to identify and generate business that aligns with the firm’s strategic vision.

Provide strategy and content for pre‑positioning, proposals, interviews, and other marketing content to increase visibility and win rate.

Advance the practice’s reputation through conference presentations, thought leadership, and social‑media communications.

What you will need to succeed:

Expertise in healthcare‑related architecture, overall design and construction industry, and knowledge of delivery for complex healthcare projects.

15+ years of professional experience, with a focus on healthcare design.

Strong relationships and connections with clients in Washington and the larger West Coast Region.

Demonstrated experience motivating and developing teams, internally and externally, to advance market‑related projects.

Results‑oriented mindset, striving to reach success for client and organizational goals.

At least 5 years of experience in an architecture and design firm in client development, and/or practice‑group management with client development responsibilities and a proven track record of success.

A great communicator and storyteller who is passionate and engages people.

Licensure or equivalent professional certification.

Commitment to sustainable and equitable design.

ACHA, EDAC, and LEED AP credentials are a plus.
