The Job The Director of IT and SecOps will lead the company’s technology operations, cybersecurity, and infrastructure initiatives, ensuring Agora’s systems remain secure, reliable, and compliant with stringent data protection standards. This hands‑on leadership role oversees all IT functions, including Helpdesk operations, enterprise cybersecurity, AWS DevOps environment management, and network infrastructure. The Director of IT and SecOps will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to maintain a robust, secure technology environment that supports Agora’s mission to empower originators through innovative data and AI‑driven solutions.
What You’ll Do
IT Operations & Helpdesk Management (ITIL Framework)
Lead and manage the internal IT Helpdesk, ensuring fast and effective user support for all team members.
Implement and maintain ITIL‑aligned processes for incident, problem, and change management.
Track performance metrics (SLAs, resolution times, user satisfaction) and drive continuous service improvement.
Oversee the full lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, configuration, and disposal.
Partner with department heads to anticipate technology needs as Agora scales.
Enterprise Cybersecurity & Compliance
Manage Agora’s enterprise information security program, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 Type 2 and NIST 800‑171.
Maintain and evolve security policies, risk assessments, and incident response plans.
Coordinate with third‑party assessors and auditors during compliance reviews.
Oversee identity access management, vulnerability scanning, and endpoint protection across systems.
Promote a strong security culture through employee training and awareness initiatives.
AWS DevOps Environment Management
Work with the DevOps team to manage Agora’s AWS environments supporting production and corporate systems.
Collaborate on administration and optimization of EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, and networking configurations following best practices for scalability and cost efficiency.
Maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
Implement infrastructure‑as‑code system monitoring and disaster recovery protocols.
Network Security & Infrastructure (Fortinet)
Administer and monitor Fortinet firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
Manage VPN configurations, segmentation, and intrusion prevention settings.
Ensure secure connectivity between office networks, remote users, and AWS cloud environments.
Maintain network documentation, firmware updates, and routine security audits.
Identity & Access Management (Azure AD / SSO)
Oversee Azure Active Directory for user identity, authentication, and access control.
Manage SSO integrations for cloud applications (Microsoft 365, AWS, Jira).
Enforce MFA, conditional access, and password policies in alignment with security standards.
Physical & Building Access Control
Administer electronic access control systems and badge management processes.
Coordinate with Facilities and HR to align physical security policies with cybersecurity protocols.
Conduct periodic reviews of access rights and activity logs.
Device & Endpoint Administration (Windows & macOS)
Manage corporate endpoint fleet using MDM tools such as Intune and Apple Business Management.
Ensure systems are updated, encrypted, and compliant with company security standards.
Provide Tier 3 support for complex hardware and software issues.
Implement standardized imaging and onboarding/offboarding workflows.
Leadership & Strategic Impact
Lead, mentor, and develop an IT team that supports Agora’s technology operations.
Build and manage IT budgets, forecasts, and vendor relationships.
Partner with executives to align IT and cybersecurity strategies with business priorities.
Participate in technology roadmap discussions, ensuring scalability and compliance as Agora expands.
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong background in ITIL‑based helpdesk management and service delivery.
Deep knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, NIST 800‑171, ISO 27001 or PCI DSS).
Hands‑on experience managing AWS infrastructure and DevOps pipelines.
Proficiency in configuring Fortinet (or similar enterprise‑grade equipment) firewalls, switches, and access points.
Experience with Azure AD, SSO, MFA, and Microsoft 365 administration.
Strategic mindset with a hands‑on, solution‑oriented approach.
Strong understanding of the intersection between IT, compliance, and business operations in a fintech environment.
Excellent communicator who can translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
Proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
Working knowledge of access control systems and physical security integrations.
Expertise in Windows and macOS administration and modern endpoint solutions.
Preferred Certifications
ITIL Foundation / Practitioner
CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or DevOps Engineer
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Fortinet NSE 4+ Certification
