Value Analytics Center
within Global Value and Evidence (V&E). This team will develop expertise in evidence synthesis, economic modeling, and HTA and value assessment analytics, enabling a comprehensive understanding of product value from clinical, humanistic, and economic perspectives. The
Value Analytics Center
will inform internal strategies, pricing, reimbursement decisions, and HTA submissions, helping AbbVie secure positive recommendations, negotiate with payers, and maintain patient access to its medicines. The team will also develop in-house expertise to demonstrate product value to stakeholders and the healthcare system, ensuring long-term success in a rapidly evolving landscape. Responsibilities
Provide performance feedback, development, and coaching to team members (4-8 direct reports). Share best practices and key learnings across affiliates and cross-functional partners within a therapeutic area (TA). Lead evidence-synthesis and health economics initiatives to demonstrate clinical and economic value, ensuring optimal use of modeling evidence. Monitor project progress, facilitate prioritization, and allocate resources effectively. Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including international Market Access, Pricing, HTA, HEOR, RWE, PCOR, and DSS teams. Oversee multiple modeling teams across functions and countries to meet stakeholder needs and develop strategic options. Lead development of systematic literature reviews, indirect treatment comparisons, and health economic models, especially in complex cases requiring innovation. Identify needs for preliminary analyses to inform value propositions, development, pricing, and strategic decisions. Qualifications
MS/MSc/MPhil/MPH (required) or PhD (preferred) in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health, Econometrics, or related fields. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on evidence synthesis, health economics, HTA, or related areas. Effective communication skills in a matrix environment, with the ability to take ownership when needed. Strong goal-orientation and problem-solving capabilities. Expertise in health economics and evidence-synthesis disciplines relevant to HTA, pricing, reimbursement, and value assessment. Proven leadership and influence in dynamic environments with multiple stakeholders. Experience interacting with HTA agencies or payers, including submission delivery. Skills in core capabilities of the Value Analytics Center such as: Health economics: economic modeling, budget impact analysis, proficiency in Excel and VBA. Evidence-synthesis: designing search strategies, conducting feasibility analyses, critical appraisal. Statistics: methodologies like indirect treatment comparisons, survival analysis, utility estimation, and proficiency in R. *Job grades are country-specific.* Additional Information
