Position Summary: Responsible for the direction,provision and quality of substance abusecounseling services for Pathwaysto Recovery for Adults and Adolescent and Family FirstPrograms Location: Camden and Gloucester County Job Type/Status: Full Time Duties and Responsibilities: Providesclinical supervision of program staff, students and volunteers. Mayprovide direct service activity as needed. Assuresthe continuing training and development of program staff. Regularlyschedules meetings with program staff to discuss plans, address areas ofpotential problems and program functioning. Conductsemployee evaluations annually in accordance with Center For FamilyServices' policies and procedures Treatscolleagues and students as individuals with respect and dignity. Attendsall required staff meetings, program and Center for Family Servicesactivities. Meetsregularly with supervisor. Discussesfamily and staff issues, when necessary, only with designated appropriatestaff. Reportsany suspected child/elder abuse and neglect per New Jersey's guidelines Conductsself as a role model in interactions with staff, colleagues and fundingsources in accordance with Center for Family Services' Code of Ethics. Developsand promotes relationships with other social service agencies andrepresents the program and agency in the community. Participatesin the effective maintenance of written objectives, policies andprocedures,an organizational plan and a quality assurance programfor the clinical components of substance abuse services that areconsistent with the CFS mission Assiststhe AVP in the planning of operational functions and quality of servicesand provides clinical oversight to ensure they are properly implemented byclinical staff Directsthe selection, hiring, evaluation and promotion of all clinical staff Directsthe establishment and maintenance of liaison relationships andcommunication with staff, service providers, community resources andclients Identifiespriority populations for admission and treatment or referral asappropriate according to protocol, policies and procedures Ensuresthat assessments and intakes with clients are conducted in accordance withpolicies and procedures in a clinically appropriate manner Ensuresapproaches to treatment are evidence based or based on objectiveinformation consistent with recognized treatment principles and practicesfor each level of care and type of client served Providesor ensures and documents that direct clinical supervision is provided atleast one hour per week to all clinical staff, individually or in a groupsetting with group supervision not to exceed 50 percent of supervisiontime Ensuresthat substance abuse counseling services are provided as specified in theclient treatment plan and coordinated with other client care services, ifapplicable, to provide continuity of care Ensuresthat the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of clients with co-occurringdisorders is provided by appropriately trained and qualified clinicalstaff, and that the clinical supervision of such staff is provided Directsthe provision of staff education activities and provides consultation toprogram personnel Providesorientation to and evaluation of new counseling staff Ensurescounseling staff are appropriately licensed or credentialed Participatesin the identification of quality care indicators and outcome objectivesand the collection and review of data to monitor staff and programperformance Participatesin the planning and budgeting for the department. REQUIREMENTS: Mastersin Social Work, Counseling or related, licensable field. Twoyears minimum of full-time or full-time equivalent, administrative orsupervisory experience in a substance abuse treatment facility MaintainsCPR certifications, as required licensure Musthave and maintain a valid Driver's License in the state of his/herresidence if job is classified as Occasional or Essential driving Musthave and maintain automobile insurance if driving a personal vehicle LicensableMaster's Degree or higher meeting the requirements of 10:161B, 1.8, a,with appropriate supervision certificate if also in possession of LCADC orCCS if not in possession of LCADC -Ability to give and carry out written and oral directions for increasinglycomplexsituations. Negotiates,persuades, and modifies opinion in order to reach the goals/objectives ofCenter for Family Services. Abilityto complete basic mathematical operations and use them to calculatefigures such as percentages and means for the analysis of reports Proficientin the use of Microsoft Office applications and responds to email in aprofessional manner Abilityto work in an organized, efficient manner with a high level of accuracy,attention to detail, and follow-through Abilityto exercise judgment and discretion in the prioritizing of workload andinclusion of supervisor in staff and programmatic decisions Mustbe able to travel to different Center for Family Services' building sites. Mustpass and maintain compliance with CFS Motor Vehicle Report. Mustmaintain automobile insurance coverage if driving a personal vehicle.
