Mechanical Project Engineer

Mechanical Project Engineer – ($85k–$95k) – Atlanta, GAOur client, a leading global provider of industrial equipment and systems for the soft disposal / textile industry, is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in project management and machine design. Experience in textiles preferably in the soft disposal industry required. Key Responsibilities: Lead engineering projects from inception to completion, conceptualizing new equipment designs and adapting existing designs for new applications Produce detailed part, assembly, and layout drawings using 3D CAD software Prepare technical documentation, project manuals, and reports Conduct engineering calculations, select purchased parts, and ensure compliance with relevant industrial standards and codes Perform risk assessments of machinery in accordance with industry standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality Control, Field Service, customers, and external vendors Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 3+ years of experience in project management and machine design within the textile industry, preferably in soft disposal materials Proficiency in 3D CAD software, including parts, sheet metal, assemblies, and weldments Familiarity with selecting and utilizing drive components such as motors, reducers, bearings, and drives Competence in performing engineering calculations for machine design, including statics, dynamics, and kinematics Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Location: Atlanta, GA Employment Type: Full-Time Employee Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 Travel: MinimalIf you are a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity with a global leader in industrial equipment and systems, submit your resume today!To apply for the Mechanical Engineer positions , please submit your resume in response to this ad or fill out an application on our website, .Impact Staffing is a local staffing and recruiting company with a team of Atlanta-area recruiters ready to help you find work.
