Scope Technical has an immediate need for a dynamic
mechanical design engineer
in the Atlanta, GA area. This is a permanent, direct‑hire position.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical designs of heavy industrial equipment using SolidWorks 3D modeling software.
Performing computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs.
Documenting the design process, iterations, and test analytics.
Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets.
Preparing technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer.
Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD and Solidworks.
Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Background in sheet‑metal design.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Attentive to detail and critically minded.
The ability to stay abreast of advancements in technology and engineering design trends.
