Scripps Mercy Hospital has served central and downtown San Diego since 1890 and is the oldest medical center in the county. The San Diego campus is located near the corner of 5th Avenue and Washington Street in Hillcrest. Scripps Mercy Hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista.
San Diego campus includes the O’Toole Breast Care Center, a 24-hour emergency room that is a Level I Trauma Center, outpatient physical rehabilitation, minimally invasive robotic surgery and our childbirth unit (including a Level II neonatal intensive care unit).
Position Details This is a Full Time, 12 Hour Night Shift. Benefits eligible, located at Scripps Mercy San Diego campus. You are eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $7K.

Critical‑care nurses gain exposure to high acuity cases in medical, surgical, medical‑cardiac, cardiothoracic‑surgical, respiratory, neuro‑trauma and trauma.
Responsibilities Our RN team provides direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
Required Qualifications
Registered Nursing Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing
At least one year Adult ICU RN experience
Current CA State RN license
American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification
Have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate positive behaviors
Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
Preferred Qualifications
At least one year of ICU RN experience in a Level I Trauma Hospital
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Compensation Position Pay Range: $58.00-$84.00/hour.
