We’re also home to notable specialty programs, including cancer care, heart surgery, orthopedic surgery, labor and delivery services (including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit) and a nationally designated Comprehensive Stroke Center. This is a Part Time (48 hours per two week pay period), 12-Hour Night Shift
CVICU RN position located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla – Prebys Cardiovascular Institute. This position is eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $2K. Responsibilities
The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice, focusing on cardiac diagnosis. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress toward expected outcomes. Collaborate with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. About the CVICU
CVICU specializes in caring for acute patients with a variety of disease states. As a destination center for a higher level of cardiac care in Southern California, CVICU implements progressive programs and therapies. The team offers opportunities to gain experience in: Cardiac surgery Heart failure, shock, advanced resuscitation measures Mechanical circulatory support ECMO, LVAD, Impella, Tandem Heart, IABP, CRRT Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing One (1) year of recent RN experience in an adult ICU California Registered Nurse License Current American Heart Association BLS Current American Heart Association ACLS Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing Experience with hemodynamic monitoring in heart failure and cardiac surgery population Incentives and eligibility
