Required Qualifications
Education: DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary medical association school and completion of a 2‑ to 3‑year postdoctoral training program in laboratory animal medicine. Experience: 3 to 5 years related veterinary experience. Licenses and Certifications: Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the United States upon hire. Preferred Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications: American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM) diplomat upon hire. Job Duties
Provides medical and surgical care for research animals. Coordinates health assessments of incoming non‑commercial research animals. Assists in Institutional Animal Care and Research Advisory Committee protocol reviews. Represents Animal Resources Center Director in matters of animal health when he or she is absent. Communicates with research staff and faculty regarding animal health and welfare. Coordinates quarantine and health maintenance of animal colonies. Performs other duties as assigned.
