Clinical Instructor – Medicine (Gastroenterology) – Advanced Endoscopy and Pancreatology Fellowship
The Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine is offering a one‑year Advanced Endoscopy and Pancreatology Fellowship. Fellows will receive hands‑on training in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), balloon enteroscopy, endoscopic mucosal resection, Barrett’s ablation, and advanced therapeutic endoscopy for pancreatic and biliary disorders.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including EUS with or without FNA, ERCP with sphincterotomy and stent placement, enteroscopy, and advanced endoscopic mucosal resection.
Participate in inpatient consults and outpatient clinic visits providing comprehensive gastrointestinal care.
Attend interdisciplinary Pancreas Center meetings, grand rounds, and morbidity/mortality conferences.
Contribute to clinical research projects and present findings at scientific meetings.
Qualifications
Board‑certified or eligible gastroenterology physician with a strong interest in advanced endoscopy and pancreatology.
Excellent procedural skill and the ability to perform high‑volume pancreatic, biliary, and upper/lower endoscopy.
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, professionalism, and evidence‑based care.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multi‑disciplinary team.
Procedures
Endoscopic ultrasound with or without FNA
ERCP with sphincterotomy, biliary stent, stone removal
Enteroscopy (single balloon)
Endoscopic mucosal resection and radiofrequency ablation
Upper and lower endoscopy with luminal stenting and bleeding control
Colonoscopy with polypectomy
