Vital Care Staffing Solutions is looking for an
Interim Director of Nursing (DNS)
in Montana to manage day‑to‑day operations, activities, and the success of the resident care staff.
Essential Functions:
Develop and maintain a nursing service philosophy, objectives, standards of practice, policy and process manuals.
Establish systems for care planning, including assessments, plan of treatment, objectives and goals, evaluations, and discharge planning.
Recruit, interview, hire, discipline, coach, and conduct performance appraisals.
Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of certification laws and requirements, survey requirements and the Medicare program.
Validate that reporting departments consistently meet state and federal requirements for long‑term care facilities for licensure; maintain a quality assurance program for nursing services and coordinate an interdisciplinary quality assurance program.
Direct the functions and activities of the ED in his/her absence.
Education, Licensure, and Experience:
Current Registered Nursing license in Montana (required).
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
Certification in Rehab Nursing, geriatrics, or psychiatric nursing (preferred).
Minimum two years’ experience as a nursing services supervisor in a long‑term care facility (preferred).
