Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Part Time Base pay range: $90.00/hr - $110.00/hr

You will receive a guaranteed weekly compensation of $1,350–$1,650 with the opportunity to make additional compensation.

Job Description Summary The speech–language pathologist is responsible for implementation of standards of care for speech language pathology services and for adherence to all conditions in the Service Agreement.

Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities

Conduct evaluations, assess home environment (as appropriate), identify equipment needs relative to speech/language function.

Identify functional speech defects and establish a plan of care to improve patient functioning.

Administer speech therapy program utilizing specialized therapeutic technique and/or equipment.

Recommend communication devices/aids as indicated.

Collaborate with referring physician and other organization personnel to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.

Participate in case conferences, in‑services and other meetings as required.

Prepare and submit notes per organization policy.

Maintain clinical competency in speech language pathology practice and theory.

Identify patient and family/caregiver needs for other services and refer as appropriate.

Instruct patient, family/caregiver and other health care personnel in the treatment regime as indicated.

May supervise home health aide in procedures directly related to the speech–language therapy plan.

Perform other duties as required to facilitate the delivery of speech language pathology services.

Job Qualifications

Master’s or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) and meets licensing requirements in the state of service delivery.

Minimum one (1) year clinical experience in speech–language pathology.

Valid California driver’s license and reliable vehicle insured.

Good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Current CPR certification.

Physical Requirements

Occasional sitting, standing, driving, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds intermittently.

Maintains current and valid driver’s license and insurance coverage.
