Salary: $180,000.00/yr (base pay range for this position).

Gurwin Home Care programs offer Long Islanders high‑quality care in their own homes, including a Certified Home Health Agency and a Licensed Home Care Services Agency.

Gurwin also operates a Life Plan Community, assisted‑living and nursing facilities, and adult day‑care programs, creating a comprehensive family of services.

As Home Care Agency Administrator, you will oversee both agencies and grow their programs while advancing the Gurwin brand.

The ideal candidate is strategic, a proven leader, and highly knowledgeable about home‑care administration and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and evaluate clinical aspects of the Home Care Agencies.

Plan, delegate, supervise, and evaluate patient care services provided.

Participate in developing standards that ensure safe and therapeutic service to patients and families; develop policies and procedures governing patient care in collaboration with the Professional Advisory Committee.

Establish New York State code‑compliant personnel policies and procedures, including hiring, health examinations, periodic evaluation, orientation, and in‑service education; direct recruitment and retention to meet staffing needs.

Update and maintain job descriptions for each personnel category, clearly identifying scope of practice and responsibilities.

Plan and administer operational and fiscal aspects of the program, including the annual budget.

Collaborate with the CFO to negotiate agreements and contracts.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and reimbursement requirements, monitoring documentation quality.

Conduct systematic program evaluation with the Professional Advisory Committee.

Coordinate outreach, marketing, and liaison responsibilities.

Develop new initiatives, programs, and cost‑effective measures.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree.

Minimum two years’ experience in healthcare administration.

Home‑care administration experience with understanding of regulatory guidelines for both Certified Home Health Agency and Licensed Home Care Services Agency.

Advanced management, administrative, and decision‑making skills congruent with responsibilities.
