We are currently recruiting for 3 (three) Per Diem/Services As Needed (SAN) Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) to work 12-hour, varied shifts in our Highland Hospital’s Anesthesiology department. These positions report to the Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine. The clinicians will provide inpatient, emergency, and on-call care, handling a range of surgeries, procedures, and circumstances within our anesthesiology team. Under the supervision of an anesthesiologist or administrator, participates or assists in administering anesthetics via inhalation and intravenous methods. Assists in intubation and resuscitation of newborn infants under physician supervision. Performs related duties as required. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assists in post-anesthesia patient care and informs the supervising anesthesiologist or surgeon of patient status. Contributes to evaluating new techniques and procedures in anesthesiology for potential adoption. Cleans, checks, and maintains anesthesia equipment; orders drugs and supplies. Provides anesthesia services as part of the anesthesiology team, including patient assessments, risk evaluations, and anesthesia administration during surgeries, labor and delivery, and other procedures involving nerve blocks. Responds to emergencies such as “Code Blue,” assists in resuscitations, difficult intubations, and neonatal resuscitations. Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; graduation from a school of anesthesia meeting American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and California State Board of Registered Nurses standards. Experience:
At least two years of full-time experience in administering anesthetics via inhalation and intravenous methods in an active hospital or clinic setting. Experience in obstetrical and emergency anesthesia, as well as neonatal intubation and resuscitation, is desirable. Licenses/Certifications: Valid California RN license Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist by the California State Board of Registered Nurses BLS - Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification from AHA Pay Range: $144.39 - $187.26 Per Hour The pay range reflects the base pay scale at Alameda Health System. Final compensation depends on experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, collective bargaining agreements, and operational needs.
