Physician - Family Medicine Faculty with OB
Ascension Via Christi is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Faculty Physician to join our Residency Program in Wichita, Kansas. The ideal candidate is a full-time core faculty member with a passion for teaching, leadership, service, scholarship, mentorship, and patient care. You will be part of a tenured team that provides comprehensive Family Medicine with OB to residents and the community. Responsibilities
Lead one of the inpatient teams for one week at a time, approximately ten times per year (on call responsibilities include adult medicine, OB, and newborn care). Maintain at least one half-day of clinic to see your own patients. Engage in teaching residents, providing mentorship, and contributing to scholarship and patient care. Participate in leadership and service activities within the program and department. Qualifications
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine physician (MD/DO). Licensed in Kansas (MD/DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date). Strong procedural background desired; non-operative OB and adult ICU management skills are required. Mentorship will be provided to regain currency if not currently included. Full-time schedule with rotating nights and weekends shared between 15 core faculty members. Strong clinical and academic experience in Family Medicine with OB. Benefits
