Job Summary and Responsibilities
Join our growing Neurosurgery Program at CHI Health Clinic and Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE. We are seeking a BC/BE Neurosurgeon—preferably with a spine focus—to help shape the future of neurosurgery, establish a residency program, and contribute to a Level I Trauma Center environment. The position is ideal for an academically driven surgeon interested in teaching, and for those with dual vascular/endovascular training who wish to maintain a general neurosurgery practice.

ACS Level I Trauma Center
Dedicated neurosurgery operating room block time
Modern OR equipment including Kinevo microscope with fluorescence, Stealth navigation, O-Arm, etc.
Collegial partners and APP support for inpatient and outpatient settings

Job Requirements
Patient Care: Diagnose and treat various medical conditions
Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories
Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Provide clear and concise medical information
Foster a collaborative and patient‑centered approach to healthcare
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records
Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans
Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations
Diagnostic Procedures: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging
Perform procedures as needed
Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers
Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement
Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety
Compliance: Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice
Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards
Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices
Participate in ongoing medical education and training
Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines
Pay Range $400.00 – $500.00 per hour
