Job Summary and Responsibilities Be part of our growing Neurosurgery Program and help shape the future! CHI Health Clinic and Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE are seeking a BC/BE Neurosurgeon to make a lasting impact. This position is part of a progressive and rapidly expanding Neuroscience Institute that includes a neurosurgery residency program in development. The role is suitable for an academically driven Neurosurgeon, experienced or new board‑eligible, who wishes to work in a teaching environment and maintain a general neurosurgery practice within an ACS Level I Trauma Center.

Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Certified Center with biplane suite
ACS Level I Trauma Center
Dedicated neurosurgery OR block time
Modern OR equipment: Kinevo microscope with fluorescence, Stealth navigation, O‑Arm, etc.
Collegial partners, APP support for inpatient and outpatient settings

Academic affiliation with Creighton University School of Medicine; ability to practice in clinical and academic settings
Electronic medical records via Epic

Job Requirements
Patient Care:
Diagnose and treat various medical conditions; develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans; conduct thorough examinations and histories.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams; provide clear medical information; foster a collaborative approach.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date patient records; document findings, diagnoses, and plans; ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
Diagnostic Procedures:
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging; perform procedures as needed; collaborate with specialists for further evaluation.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other professionals; participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case discussions; provide consultative services to providers.
Quality Improvement:
Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives; review clinical outcomes; implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
Compliance:
Adhere to ethical and legal standards; stay informed about regulations; participate in quality audits.
Continuous Learning:
Stay abreast of medical advancements; participate in ongoing education and training; contribute to clinical protocol development.
Where You'll Work CHI Health Initiatives (CHI), part of CommonSpirit Health™, is a nonprofit Catholic health system with a regional footprint. The primary practice location is at Creighton University Medical Center Bergan Mercy.
Pay Range $400.00 - $500.00 per hour
