Join Adventist Health in the Central California Coast community as a Patient Access Representative. This full‑time, day shift role is located in San Luis Obispo, CA and offers a base salary of $24.00–$29.90 per hour. Job Description
Adventist Health Sierra Vista is a 162‑bed acute care facility with a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a county‑designated trauma center. The Patient Access Representative coordinates scheduled outpatient services, completes and verifies registration information, and collects patients’ financial responsibility. Responsibilities include answering phone calls, maintaining accurate files, scheduling and confirming patient appointments, and performing other clerical duties as assigned. Job Summary
Facilitates the coordinator of scheduled outpatient services and programs, is responsible for completing and verifying all registration information and collecting the patient’s financial responsibility. Provides clerical support. Works on routine assignments within defined parameters, established guidelines and precedents. Follows established procedures and receives daily instructions on work. Job Requirements
High School Education/GED or equivalent (Preferred) Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience (Preferred) Essential Functions
Facilitates the patient admission and discharge process including collection of patient information and financial data. Performs clerical tasks such as answers phone calls and questions. Maintains files and patient information up to date. Schedules and coordinates appointments with patients. Confirms patient appointments and gives appropriate instructions. Performs other job‑related duties as assigned. Organizational Requirements
