About The Role The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for coordinating and maintaining accurate warehouse inventory while supporting daily warehouse operations. The position is 50% inventory responsibilities and 50% warehouse associate duties. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, staying organized, and ensuring efficiency from receiving to shipping.
What You’ll Do Inventory Responsibilities
Perform daily counts of customer inventory
Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies
Communicate inventory issues or updates directly with customers
Maintain accurate records and validate physical counts against system data
Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations to management
Ensure storage areas are organized, compliant, and properly rotated
Serve as the primary contact for all inventory count activities
Warehouse Responsibilities
Pick, pack, and handle materials for customer orders
Process outgoing packages: labeling, stacking, palletizing
Receive, load, unload, and stage shipments
Operate pallet jacks and forklifts for material movement
Build pallets securely with strapping, shrink wrap, and protective materials
Maintain accuracy and completeness of all shipping/receiving paperwork
Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe
Support cross‑dock, material handling, and quality assurance tasks
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
3+ years of related warehouse or inventory experience required
Forklift certification required
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Familiar with standard shipping/receiving practices
Able and willing to perform Warehouse I/II duties (picker, packer, palletizer, material handler, cross dock, QA)
Strong communication skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Flexible, reliable, and committed to high standards
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
Regular use of hands, fingers, and warehouse equipment
Working around moving mechanical parts
Noise levels may vary
