We currently have an opening for
a Supply Chain Manager
in our Chemical Compounding department.
The Supply Chain Manager position is a key role within our Operations Team. Excellent organizational skills, ability to balance short term priorities and exceptional information analysis skills are a necessity. Key objectives will be achieving/improving/exceeding targeted service levels, managing inventory levels and targets, and managing supply and demand within the Global supply chain.
Job Functions:
Plan production for chemical compounding and mixing operations
Coordinate inventory planning and replenishment of raw materials and components to insure adequate supply and safety stock
Analyze and manage ERP, Source list, Material master/parameters including min max inventory
Plan and execute procurement of raw materials from global suppliers
Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers including price, quality, delivery, and payment terms
Maintain strong working relationships and communications with manufacturing and key suppliers to confirm production/shipping schedules and monitor open purchase orders for all orders to ensure on-time deliveries
Proactively report product and material availability issues
Revise essential system planning data to ensure all systems are reflecting current demand
Inventory Management: Support reporting, inventory parameters, reduction and reserve percentage measurements, Product Life Cycle management
Maintain purchase order status and shipment tracking information in the ERP system
Supplier Management: RFQ, Cost saving initiatives, Negotiations, Supplier relationship/evaluation
Project management: Manage material availability for new launches and development projects
Provide feedback to internal customers on delivery status
Complete special projects and assignments as requested
Potential Travel for Supplier visit/tradeshow (1-2 trips annually)
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or minimum 5 years relevant experience.
Supply Chain (planning & procurement) experience preferred
Knowledge of Oracle system experience preferred (or SAP or other modern ERP)
Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application
Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written)
Experience with purchasing chemicals and/or fragrance/flavor materials is a plus
Self-starter who can work independently under pressure & react quickly to changing priorities
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel preferred
