Madison Medical Center, a well-established Critical Access Hospital (CAH) in Southeast Missouri, is seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. The CFO will play a key role in overseeing all financial operations, ensuring financial health, and contributing to the hospital’s mission of providing high-quality healthcare services to our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Oversee the hospital's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with all regulations and accounting standards. Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop long-term strategies and financial plans to support hospital growth and sustainability. Revenue Cycle Management:
Supervise billing, collections, reimbursement, and payer relationships to optimize revenue streams. Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present regular financial reports to the Board of Directors, CEO, and senior leadership, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and actionable insights. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including those specific to Critical Access Hospitals, and manage the hospital’s financial audit process. Cost Control & Efficiency:
Identify areas for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and implement strategies for maintaining financial stability in a challenging healthcare environment. Leadership & Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required. Experience:
Minimum of 2-5 years of financial management experience preferred. Prior experience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare environment is highly desirable. Knowledge:
Strong understanding of healthcare finance, including reimbursement systems, regulatory requirements, and cost containment strategies. Skills:
Proven leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Expertise in financial software, healthcare finance systems, and Excel. Personal Attributes:
