Cost/Pricing Analyst II

supports the Chief of Pricing by providing expert guidance and recommendations on a wide array of cost and pricing matters essential to Air Force acquisition. This role plays a key part in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of complex pricing proposals and cost objectives within Federal, DoD, and Air Force contracting regulations. As the primary cost and price analyst for sensitive or high-stakes contracts, you will work closely with Contracting Officers to deliver reliable, data-driven pricing analyses that are critical to national security acquisitions. This position requires expertise in evaluating proposals, applying Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and providing insights on intricate cost and pricing issues to support mission-critical projects. Responsibilities

Advisory Support : Provide expert guidance to procurement personnel, offering practical advice and technical insights on resolving a range of complex cost and pricing issues. Proposal Evaluation : Conduct comprehensive reviews of contract price proposals to assess compliance with laws, regulations, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), ensuring proposals meet standards of reasonableness, accuracy, and completeness. Pricing Analysis : Serve as the primary cost/price analyst for complex or sensitive contracts, conducting in-depth evaluations to determine appropriate pricing strategies and cost objectives. Technical Expertise : Technical expert on pricing matters, advising specialists on best practices. Strategic Collaboration : Collaborate with Contracting Officers to establish sound cost objectives, applying expert knowledge of Federal, DoD, and Air Force pricing policies to ensure aligned and efficient cost management. Cross-functional Coordination : Participate in both short-term and long-term teams to address specific, unique, or complex pricing issues within the acquisition lifecycle. Data Analysis and Documentation : Utilize Excel proficiency to perform detailed analyses, manage data, and develop accurate pricing documentation for large-scale agency acquisitions involving a range of supplies and services. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education : Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (BA/BS) degree in a relevant field. Experience : Minimum of five (5) years of relevant Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), or industry experience, with at least one (1) year in a Special Access Program (SAP) or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment within the past five years. License : Valid and active driver’s license. Clearance : Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI Poly). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Technical Guidance : Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited technical guidance, applying knowledge and experience to develop and implement solutions to complex pricing challenges. Pricing and Cost Analysis : Advanced understanding of pricing principles, cost analysis techniques, and CAS regulations, with experience in complex and sensitive contracting environments. Regulatory Knowledge : Proficiency in Federal, DoD, and Air Force pricing regulations and contracting policies, ensuring compliance and best practices in cost and pricing evaluations. Analytical Proficiency : Strong analytical and evaluative skills, with the ability to conduct detailed cost assessments and provide sound pricing recommendations. Microsoft Excel Expertise : High-level proficiency in Excel for data analysis, proposal evaluation, and developing comprehensive cost reports. Communication Skills : Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to convey technical pricing insights and recommendations to various stakeholders. Problem Solving : Proven ability to address complex pricing issues independently, making informed decisions under limited guidance to support critical acquisition initiatives. Flexibility for Travel : Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS as needed; however, travel is expected to be infrequent if at all. Estimated Salary/Wage
