Shift 1 / Monday - Friday / 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:
$33.50 - $43.55 / hour Summary
Performs diagnostic Nuclear Medicine imaging and emergency procedures. Exercises judgment to assess and respond to patient's needs before, during, and after visits to the nuclear medicine department. Ensures proper comfort, care, and safety of patients throughout procedures. Maintains quality control for instrumentation to ensure credibility and reliability. Utilizes appropriate techniques to produce quality diagnostic images and laboratory results. Handles procurement, preparation, quality control, calculation, identification, documentation, administration, disposal, storage, and safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals. Assists authorized users with therapeutic radionuclide treatments. Educates the public and employs techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and the public, following ALARA principles. Participates in performance improvement initiatives and staff/student training. May transport non-narcotic medications as directed. Participates in on-call rotation as required by department needs. Educational Requirements
Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program or acceptable equivalent schooling. Experience Requirements
No experience required. State of Florida Licensure Requirements
Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (Required). Certifications/Registration Requirements
BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) (Required). US: FL: Fort Myers
