This position involves administering anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist, including local, inhalation, intravenous, and other anesthetics during various medical procedures. The role also requires interpreting and recording patient physiological and pharmacological status, providing continuity of care during pre-op and post-op periods, and responding to life-threatening situations. CPR Certified Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check May be subject to credentialing; must maintain credentialed status if applicable Must maintain certification status Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer, pre-employment physical Employees providing patient care must comply with the University's influenza vaccination requirement Minimum Qualifications
For CRNAs: State of New Mexico Licensed Registered Nurse or pending licensure, or current RN licensure from a multistate compact state; no prior related experience required. OR For Anesthesiology Assistants: Certified by NCCAA and NBME, maintaining biannual CME credits, and NM licensure as Anesthesiologist Assistant; no prior related experience required.
