Dental Assistant – Championsgate, FL Heartland Dental is looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at Champions Gate Dentistry in Championsgate, FL. The position is full‑time, Monday‑through‑Friday, with no weekend work. Responsibilities Greet patients from the moment they enter the office, ensuring comfort and providing appropriate education throughout treatment. Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide high‑quality care. Take and process x‑rays and other diagnostic assessments (including iTero 3D scanners and digital photography). Provide superior chairside assistance (i.e., four‑handed dentistry) to dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state dental practice acts. Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping. Prepare treatment rooms in strict adherence to safety protocols, following OSHA & CDC recommendations. Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed. Partner with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow. Minimum Qualifications Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. Experience working in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment. Certification as a dental assistant and/or x‑ray certification, if required under state dental practice acts. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Understanding of PHI safeguards and regular HIPAA training required. Preferred Experience 1+ year of experience in a dental setting. Experience with Dentrix or other dental software. Certification from a dental assisting school. Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Prolonged periods of sitting and standing. Capability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times. Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in‑person) periodically throughout the year. TB test required for all new hires in dental office positions; completion prior to starting employment.
