Compensation is fee-for-service as per the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates. Benefits are not provided, but may be purchased if the successful candidate so desired. Position Summary Grandview Health Centre is an 18 bed acute care and 39 bed long term care facility. Services offered include Diagnostic, Emergency, Primary Health, Mental Health, and Rehabilitation. Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Family Physician to join the Grandview Health Centre. Duties include performing all duties associated with a family practice, including diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders, and injuries of patients, acting as the primary care provider, and providing continuous care toward the management of patients’ health. The physician will also share in the Emergency Department on-call schedule and will cooperate and coordinate coverage with other physician colleagues. Work setting:

Private practice, Rural area Credentials The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba Must be a member of CMPA or provide proof of equivalent malpractice insurance Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job. Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums. Good work and attendance record Security and safety: Complete and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate. All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Prairie Mountain Health policy. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
