Cybersecurity Enterprise Data Architect – EY
Join EY’s Security Technology Services (STS) group to modernize and design data systems that enable trustworthy and explainable AI applications while ensuring security and compliance.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and deliver strategic plans that improve data integration, quality, and delivery in support of business initiatives.
- Define and implement long‑term technology strategy and innovation roadmaps across analytics, data engineering, and data platforms.
- Collaborate closely with Strategy and senior business stakeholders to secure strong engagement and align delivery with strategic roadmaps.
- Connect with key stakeholders, cybersecurity experts, and operational teams to create scalable security solutions.
- Translate high‑level business requirements into data models, metadata, test data, and data quality standards.
- Simplify existing data architecture, delivering reusable services and cost‑saving opportunities in line with company policies.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks that ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all data systems, integrating risk management principles.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to align solutions with company long‑term goals and design guidelines.
- Work with IT, business analysts, and data analytics teams to understand data consumers’ needs and develop solutions.
- Lead the development of secure semantic retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) architectures that manage and interconnect structured and unstructured data.
- Integrate large language models (LLMs) with effective metadata governance and ontology enrichment processes.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Architect and implement data lake houses, master data management (MDM) solutions, and modern cloud migration processes.
- Produce robust governed analytics solutions using tools such as Databricks and Microsoft Synapse.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, C/C++ and data science tools such as SQL, R, SAS, or Excel.
- Deep knowledge of modern data architectures, cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), real‑time data distribution (Kafka, Dataflow), and data warehouse tools (Snowflake, Databricks).
- Experience with database technologies: SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Hadoop, Teradata.
- Understanding of entity‑relationship modeling, metadata systems, and data quality tools.
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools: ETL, Power BI, Tableau.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Exposure to Sentinel, ServiceNow CMDB, APM, and ITSM databases.
- In‑depth security knowledge, including:
- Hands‑on experience with application security, data architecture, security analytics, and threat intelligence solutions.
- Familiarity with data security frameworks and standards.
- Knowledge of secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) processes.
- Practical experience applying security controls across programming languages and frameworks.
- Quick learner able to gain expertise in new technology areas swiftly.
- Flexible and capable of adapting to an ever‑changing technology landscape.
- Proven track record fostering client‑service relationships and valuing internal customers.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, engaging executive leadership.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 16+ years of experience in Information Technology, 8+ years in senior data architecture, and 6+ years in data modeling, governance, and taxonomy.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have One or More
- Security certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
- TOGAF or AI architecture framework certifications.
- SANS certifications including GSEC, ECSA, ECSP.

- Comprehensive compensation and benefits package; base salary range for the US: $152,700 – $294,000.
