This role is responsible for pre-visit planning, rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions, and both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider. The position aims to help patients feel at ease and collaborate effectively with providers during visits. Responsibilities
Room patients, perform and document vital signs and backgrounds. Coordinate provider schedules, enter orders, and prepare patient charts. Instruct patients and families within scope of licensure or certification. Prepare patients and assist with in-office procedures, medications, and immunizations. Maintain exam rooms and equipment according to infection control standards. Qualifications
Education:
Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant, or graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing is required. Experience:
Minimum of 160 hours of direct patient care experience as an LPN/MA/EMT; current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or LPN preferred. Skills and Certifications
Knowledge of patient care principles and medical equipment. Ability to work under stress and prioritize tasks. Proficiency in EMR systems, communication skills. Valid licenses and certifications as specified, including BLS. Physical and Working Conditions
Includes standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working in various environmental conditions with specific hearing and vision requirements. Additional Information
