Role Summary

The Senior Manager – Manager Research will be responsible for implementing qualitative and quantitative due diligence processes to evaluate, select, and monitor internal and external investment strategies across both traditional and alternative asset classes. This position supports manager research for all investment strategies used across the T. Rowe Price Multi‑Asset (MA) division.

Responsibilities Ongoing Due Diligence (85%)

Conduct internal and external due diligence activities, including meeting with investment teams, across strategies used within T. Rowe Price multi‑asset portfolios.

Coordinate with research and risk teams to augment monitoring and reporting activities.

Represent the MA division with clients and consultants as related to the due diligence process and oversight.

Serve as subject‑matter expert on due diligence oversight of underlying T. Rowe Price and external portfolios’ investment processes, people, performance, and external ratings (e.g., Morningstar, Lipper).

Use technology resources to improve the efficiency of the due diligence process.

New Manager Search and Selection (15%)

Coordinate with internal teams in developing open architecture mandates and responding to RFPs.

Conduct comprehensive manager searches and assist in the selection of best‑in‑class solutions.

Establish relationships with third‑party managers to source data, performance, commentary, and related materials.

Coordinate on operational, legal and compliance aspects of onboarding third‑party managers.

Qualifications Required

BA/BS degree in finance or related field with strong credentials and relevant work experience.

Minimum of 3 years of manager due diligence experience.

Strong presentations and writing skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to excel in a dynamic and interactive team environment.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

7+ years of manager research experience across asset classes.

Experience with both traditional and alternative investment strategies (e.g., hedge funds, private equity, private credit, and direct investments).

Experience with asset allocation products, portfolio construction and related concepts.

Expertise in using analytical tools such as FactSet, Bloomberg, eVestment, Morningstar Direct.

Client‑facing experience.

Completion of or progress toward CFA, CAIA or comparable designation.

A self‑starter with leadership qualities and ability to “own” initiatives and work in a dynamic environment.

FINRA Requirements FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

$130,000.00–$180,000.00 – Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers

$130,000.00–$180,000.00 – Washington, D.C.

$130,000.00–$180,000.00 – New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, determined upon company and individual performance.
