Field Engineering Responsibilities

Oversee redlining of scope of work (SoW) and submit changes to engineering; maintain internal calendar to track required actions. Verify and complete build‑out redlining for measurements, equipment placements, grounding/bonding, copper, fiber, and network. Confirm installation of infrastructure meets design/specifications; finalize redlines for close‑out. Track ISP fiber scope using an internal tracker; update design changes and verify fiber scope. Use internal tracker for copper to provide all close‑out information; act as POC for installation, submit revisions, and verify before close‑out. Configure network details and submit redlines; take primary responsibility for network redlining. Reference RFIs on redlines as a final task before sending for QA review. Run and verify audits after project completion; verify cable schedule, create test projects, run audits, send re‑tests, and finalize audits. Actively update lessons learned document throughout building; review and finalize lessons learned template. Gather warranty information, send for processing/completion, and deliver required warranty documents. Complete product submittals; verify BOM with POs and obtain product sheets. Print labels for installation teams; ensure labels are printed before installation. Oversee all RFIs before submission; submit RFIs, document design‑related feedback as lessons learned, and formally send acceptance/rejections to applicable teams. Oversee design (shop drawings); verify and brainstorm areas of interest, submit into BIM360, keep up with revisions, hyperlinks, and detail sheets for infrastructure, copper, fiber. Qualifications

Proven problem‑solving skills, critical thinking, and ability to read, write, and present orally. Diagnose and fix problems with existing equipment and new installs. Enthusiastic, passionate, patient, and a critical thinker. Excellent customer service skills and effective communication with customers. High skill level to interpret blueprints and project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements. Able to travel within branch or regional territory as needed. Education, Certification, License, And Skill Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. At least 3‑4 years of commercial low‑voltage/structured cabling experience. Work well with others. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project). Meet company minimum driving standards. Manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Minimum Years Of Experience
