Summary The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a board-certified/eligible OB-GYN Generalist to serve as Director of Ambulatory Care. Recognized for two consecutive years by US News and World Report as a high performing unit, the BirthPlace at Sinai Hospital is an integral part of the Baltimore community performing 1,800 births annually. We are also recipients of the 2022 Minogue Award Circle of Honor given by the Maryland Patient Safety Center in recognition of our innovations in patient safety. Sinai Hospital is a Regional Medical Campus of the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Sinai Hospital hosts GW medical students for all required rotations and electives for their third and fourth years of medical school. Since 2018, GW medical students have been rotating at Sinai Hospital for some rotations including OB/GYN. In addition, Sinai is a ACGME certified OB-GYN residency program with 16 residents (four per year). Sinai serves the people of greater Baltimore as well as national and international patients. It is a nonprofit teaching hospital with an ACGME accredited residency program providing training for more than 140 residents. With 399 acute beds, Sinai is the largest community hospital in Maryland.
Team Overview
Enjoy the reward and challenge of teaching future OB/GYNs in our ACGME certified residency program of 16 residents (4 per year)
Well established team of 6 OB/GYN’s, 2 APP’s, and 16 residents (4 per year)
Academic appointment with the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences
Provide the highest level of expertise in complete prenatal and postnatal care and the latest gynecologic surgeries
Growing Maternal Fetal Medicine practice that provides full range of antenatal services
Support for diabetes management provided by a registered dietician
Robust divisions of Urogynecology and Gynecologic Oncology provide patients with a full range of GYN care as well as support for Obstetric emergencies
Ability to do robotic surgery is considered an asset as the department has robotic surgery supported with DaVinci Xi
Block time for OR cases
Laborist program which provides support for the labor and delivery floor
Employed position with excellent base salary and RVU bonus
Office hours Monday - Friday
Rotating call schedule
Director Responsibilities
Oversee and mentor clinical providers regarding standards of care, professionalism, interpersonal interactions, and protocols.
Monitor clinical outcomes.
Develop and coordinate schedules insuring appropriate coverage.
As necessary or requested by the Chief, educate clinical staff regarding proper treatment management of clinical conditions.
Aiding staff to monitor and comply with documentation and billing requirements.
Ensure staff maintain adequate instrumentation and supplies for patient visits and ambulatory procedures.
Other reasonable responsibilities as assigned by the Chief from time to time, but only after collaboration with agreement of the Director regarding any such other responsibilities.
Qualifications
MD or DO from an Accredited Medical School
Board Certified or Board Eligible
5+ years of experience post fellowship
Leadership experience preferred
Successful completion of an ACGME approved residency program in OB/GYN
Ability to Successfully obtain a Maryland medical license & DEA license
Expertise in robotic and minimally invasive GYN surgery a plus
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Must work well in a team environment.

This role offers a competitive guaranteed base salary of $325-375K. This role also has an opportunity for a wRVU incentive and quality incentive.
