Director of Transplant Services (Days)
Location: Dallas, TX
Pay range: $61.06/hr – $103.85/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience)
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Program Medical Director to manage effective and efficient operations within the assigned program, ensuring integration of strategy and operations to achieve key service line goals.
Lead and coordinate key service line initiatives across Parkland Health to achieve defined service line goals and objectives.
Evaluate clinical and financial program outcomes, including program grants where applicable.
Engage stakeholders to implement clinical best practice guidelines with standardized documentation.
Enhance relationships with outside partners to align quality of care and financial incentives.
Develop and implement program strategies to provide an exceptional person‑centered experience through seamless care delivery and innovative care models.
Foster collaboration and communication strategies across Parkland Health through strategic alliances and effective communication pathways.
Standardize processes to make them reliable, measurable, sustainable and easy for staff and patients, improving timely access to care and reducing emergency department and inpatient visits using evidence‑based interventions.
Obtain and sustain accreditation and recognition from necessary agencies and commissions.
Co‑facilitate multidisciplinary meetings with the assigned program triad (director of nursing, program medical director, and others).
Participate in quality practice initiatives and other necessary certifications and credentialing.
Ensure participation in Centers of Medicaid & Medicare Innovation programs and alternative payment models to improve patient engagement and access to care.
Identify and harness collaborative community partnerships to enhance patient engagement with disease management and access to community resources.
Represent Parkland in national and local organizations, initiatives, and conferences pertaining to the assigned program to optimize professional excellence, networking, partnerships, and awareness.
Skills or Special Abilities
Thorough awareness of the Scope of Practice, Standards of Practice, and Standards of the program.
Knowledge and experience in program oversight, data management platforms, and maintaining accreditation and specialty certification.
Proficiency, creativity, and innovation in establishing and evaluating program process and outcome measures, aligned with organizational and programmatic mission and vision.
Ability to execute operational deliverables of goals and provide ongoing updates of improvements.
Ability to manage multiple operational teams for the delivery of clinical programs, focusing on operationalizing strategy.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with a diverse population of physicians, nurses, and business support staff.
Leadership skills capable of motivating, recruiting and educating staff through program adaptations.
Exceptional customer experience skills, providing a respectful and courteous atmosphere, listening, responding, and setting clear expectations.
Proficient in developing and sustaining collaborative partnerships through effective community engagement strategies.
Demonstration of person‑centered, person‑valued behaviors.
Knowledge and skill in resource management, including fiscal management, grants, budget, and personnel practices.
Superior writing skills for composing grant proposals, course outlines, manuals and reports.
Working knowledge of personal computer operations and the ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database software in a Windows environment.

Education: Must have a Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Health Administration or a related field. (Required)
Experience: Must have 8+ years of professional experience in Transplant Services and Peritoneal Dialysis operations. (Required)
