Lead DevOps Engineer

Top Responsibilities: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices; research, test, and implement new techniques to improve software deployment strategies. Train and mentor engineering teams on best practices and internal tools for automation and security. Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to define the strategic direction of DevOps. Identify training needs and develop appropriate training programs. Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure in AWS. Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and other tools. Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment using CI/CD pipelines. Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable code delivery. Work with development teams on deployment strategies, including blue/green and canary releases. Manage release processes and configuration management. Integrate security best practices into build and deployment pipelines (DevSecOps). Develop and enforce internal standards for development, infrastructure, monitoring, and deployment. Ensure compliance with frameworks like SOC2. Serve as SME for containerization efforts (Docker, Rancher, K8s, AWS ECS, ECR). Manage observability tools and alerting strategies (Grafana, ELK, PagerDuty, CloudWatch). Lead incident response and root cause analysis efforts.
Qualifications: 7+ years in software engineering. 2+ years in DevOps roles focusing on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and automation. Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Proficiency in CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or AWS CodeBuild. Expertise in security best practices within a security framework. Experience with containerization and orchestration (AWS ECS, etc.). Experience managing observability stacks (Grafana, ELK). Proven project leadership skills. Experience leading teams. Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements. Proficiency in managing complex systems and technologies. Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex issues. Self-motivated, results-oriented, capable of multitasking and working collaboratively. Able to build trust and confidence with colleagues and management.
