We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Application and Cloud Transformation (ACT) team, responsible for enterprise-grade platforms and services with a focus on driving a cloud-native strategy.
This role centers on delivering and supporting OpenShift Container orchestration and runtime environments at scale, particularly for large enterprises in regulated industries.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in platform engineering, cloud automation, and OpenShift, with a proactive mindset for solving complex problems and enabling transformation across hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement OpenShift adoption strategies aligned with enterprise architecture, security standards, and technology frameworks
Support OpenShift platforms at scale, including deployment, management, and security hardening across environments
Guide customer onboarding and operational management of OpenShift runtimes
Evangelize integrated OpenShift services and advocate for their adoption and security advantages
Drive automation, compliance, monitoring, and inventory strategies across cloud environments
Troubleshoot and resolve high-severity issues, ensuring high system availability and operational efficiency
Collaborate with production support and platform engineering teams to ensure service continuity
Define and document engineering standards and best practices for enterprise cloud platforms
Engage with global, cross-functional teams to drive innovation and modernize infrastructure
Lead risk management practices and support implementation of cloud control requirements
Deliver technical guidance and training on OpenShift best practices to team members
Participate in architectural reviews and serve as SME on private/hybrid cloud projects
Required Qualifications
5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent professional background
5+ years of hands-on experience with OpenShift container platform in enterprise environments
5+ years of experience in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or similar tools
5+ years of experience with Linux OS and container orchestration
3+ years with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
3+ years working with CI/CD and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Tekton, Harness, ArgoCD)
3+ years of monitoring and observability tools experience (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, New Relic, Elastic, OpenTelemetry)
Deep understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and private/hybrid cloud architecture
Experience in implementing security and compliance controls in cloud platforms
Exposure to Azure or GCP cloud platforms
Strong knowledge of networking, storage, and security concepts in containerized environments
Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to lead and collaborate in a diverse, fast-paced enterprise setting
Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud security management or governance tools
Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280) or equivalent certification
Familiarity with service mesh architectures, load balancers, and DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) technologies
